Japanese Beetles are falling into the traps!

We appear to have saved my wife's 100+ rose bushes with the timely placement of Japanese Beetle traps.The Nematodes slowed them down by two weeks but ultimately they just keep on coming.We have to treat the lawn again with nematodes but today I am a hero ( a rare event),now the only thing that can make it better is an Argo victory anda Carl Edwards Nascar win. One can hope for a sweep.

Japanese Beetles finally show up!

Every year we fight these bugs off my wife's prized rose bushes.We have put down nematodes,and they held off until Mid July.They are difficult,but we now have our traps out.Stay tuned to our continuing struggle.

We must now focus our activity on Integrated Pest Management for our future.Pesticides keep disappearing and glues,traps and sealing take the place of insecticide.We must protect our environment as well as ourselves.
